    Some past freelance projects I completed, and other news and updates:



Among other projects this year, I consulted on a comprehensive blended learning solution for a security company that works with law enforcement and the banking industry.

September 2008   This year I designed educational game and activity concepts for Chuggington's Virtual World, an online environment for young children based on a new television show produced by Ludorum. I worked as a contractor on this project with Red Knight Learning Systems.
I've also worked on an update of my 2006 research and review of the Cub Scout Leader Training program.
November 2006   This year I completed several projects, including an online course on Blast Injuries for the American College of Emergency Physicians, and an intensive consulting project for the Boy Scouts of America on their overall Cub Scout Leader Training program.
  This year I have continued to design e-learning courses for the Boy Scouts of America, including a CD-based Venturing Fast Start course, an online course for Venturing Youth Protection, and two online courses on water safety.
  I have completed several more e-learning projects for the Boy Scouts of America, including an interactive DVD project, an online course, and a blended learning course.
  My recent instructional design project for the Boy Scouts of America has launched -- it is a nationwide online course for Boy Scout leaders and parents on youth protection.
  Onlinetrafficsafety.com has been named as a "Site of the Week" by Multimedia World Watch, a Canadian-based international multimedia organization.

2002 Texas Interactive Media Award
Onlinetrafficsafety.com received a Texas Interactive Media Award for Achievement in Training at the South by Southwest Conference in Austin. I was the instructional designer for this project.



Onlinetrafficsafety.com has received a 2001 Communicator Award.


Online Traffic Safety: I have completed instructional design and scripting of an innovative new online traffic school course for the San Jose/Evergreen Community College District in California.

2000 AASA Leadership for Learning Award
The American Association for School Administrators (AASA) has awarded its 2000 Leadership for Learning Award to the Plano ISD Curriculum Integration Project. I was instrumental in the development of 26 award-winning educational CD-ROMs as part of this project.


1999 Texas Interactive Media Award
Adventures in Problem Solving received a Texas Interactive Media Award for Outstanding Achievement in Educational Software in 1999. I managed the collaboration and client review processes for this and 25 other educational CD-ROMs developed with Plano ISD.
